In a relay, the sash is more than something runners pass along: it makes one person’s effort part of a shared effort. TASUKI turns that idea into a visual system, tracing a measured path across a ten-leg race rather than treating each runner as a separate story.

The design’s restraint is part of its meaning. Carefully controlled geometry and a limited palette give the route clarity without overwhelming the people moving through it. For readers interested in psychology, that balance raises a useful question: how can design make individual contributions visible while keeping the team in view?
The course notes explore the thinking behind the Measured Sash Path, from how its line is shaped to how it guides attention across the experience. They show why the smallest visual decisions can influence whether a journey feels fragmented or connected—and reveal one detail in the path that changes how the whole relay reads.
